Event Reivew: Professional Ethics: The Limits of Zealous Representation
Post on September 14th, 2013

Director of Loss Prevention Gretchen Mote participated in a panel discussion at The Thomas J. Moyer Inn of Court on September 11, 2013 on The Limits of Zealous Representation. While the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct do not include the phrase “zealous advocacy,” it is still sometimes invoked in discussing an attorney’s representation.

Ms. Mote’s discussion on the panel included the ethics rules applicable to the attorney-client relationship in addressing competence in Rule 1.1 and client communication in Rule 1.4. Rule 1.3 regarding diligence was also referenced.
