OSBA CLE: Cybersecurity Law Institute
Post on April 15th, 2015

OBLIC is proud to sponsor this continuing legal education program. Attend this program and learn how to address cybersecurity issues you or your clients may face. (APPROVED FOR NEW LAWYER TRAINING)

Description: The Cybersecurity Law Institute will provide cyber information to practicing attorneys for their own firm information and for advising their clients on cybersecurity issues. This institute will be useful for attorneys of all skill levels and all firm sizes. Speakers will provide a discussion of relevant laws, and they will identify the risks, legal liabilities and ethical issues involving cybersecurity. There will be a discussion of WISP and IRP, and participants will work through a template for writing their WISP and I RP. The program will specifically address building and implementing appropriate security for a law firm from a law firm CIO’s perspective. The program will conclude with a tabletop exercise of mock breach scenarios that will illustrate how to best respond to security incidents. Attendees should come away prepared to address cybersecurity issues they may face in their respective practices.
