• IDENTIFY what needs to be protected against cyber attack.
• PROTECT Limit or contain the impact of a cyber event through protective measures.
• DETECT precursors to the incident as well as attacks in progress.
• RESPOND to issues an incident creates.
• RECOVER from an incident.
